A Squirrels Boredom

Some say boredom comes form the lack of constructive agility it requires, to create ingenuity. After examining the general squirrel population, I have come to the conclusion that no one can say, "I lack creativity." Rather, I have found that most people rely on an external source of innervations to supplement a lack of the motivation to pursue creativity. Consequently, many hours of research have persuaded me to develop and research my own theory to justify boredom in squirrels.

Boredom is the state of being bored. To bore is to make weary by being overly repetitive or dull. To pester is to harass or annoy; to bother. Over repetition can be an annoyance or pest. Hence to be pestered is to experience boredom. I believe squirrels are a prime example of boredom. They lead relatively repetitive, pointless lives. Their main purpose in life is to find, gather, and store the next nut. They are considered pests by many people. In some areas they can be hunted all year long. During the winter they have nothing better to do than to sleep. Squirrels have been to known to go into a nest in the late fall and not come out again till early spring. All these behaviors adequately describe boredom.

Members of the family Sciuridae, are commonly found in urban settlements, as well as, sparsely populated areas. These four legged, non hopping rodents often have long bushy tails. They are known for: making nests in unwanted locations, finding, eating and or storing nuts in various unacceptable places, they have also been reported to attack little old people in parks.

Squirrels have an exceptionally high metabolism. This is caused by extremely large amounts of unproductive work. To fuel this high metabolism, rodents of the family Sciuridae must eat a vast amount of food.

Squirrels also have an uncontrollable drive to seek, possess, and store this food. Some of these animals are so motivated to possess, they are blinded by a certain greed. Many Squirrels have died in miniature battles over an acorn or a peanut.

Satisfaction is being gratified by fulfilling a want or desire. To fulfill, is to complete or to execute ambition. An epiphany is a sudden awakening or revelation to a new concept. Stress is an emotionally or mentally disruptive condition. The unfulfilled need for satisfaction is a complex epiphany to an uncertain reality. A sudden awakening or revelation to a new concept can be emotionally or mentally disruptive. Hence an epiphany can be annoying or uncomfortable causing boredom.

Because squirrels can not control their craving for nuts, they are not satisfied. They have an unfulfilled sense of ambition. This can be emotionally disruptive and mentally exhausting. Therefore, squirrels have an inherent right to be bored.
